Romina Ashrafi

Two weeks ago, Iranian 14-year-old Romina Ashrafi ran away from home with her older boyfriend after her father refused to allow them to marry.

They were arrested by the police five days later. Romina repeatedly said she was fearing for her life, and that her father would be violent. The police officers didn’t listen. She was sent back home.

In the night of May 21, she was killed by her father while she was sleeping.

He beheaded her.

With a sickle.
