We Block the Black Friday

The last Friday of November is one of the worst days -if not the worst- of the year for the environment

It’s the most lucrative day for brands and stores

I’m not going to give you more figures about it because that is not the purpose of this post

Because today is more important

Today, we Block the Black Friday

As I’m writing this, I’m on the train to the 4th Global Strike for Climate

It’s been 466 days since Greta Thunberg started school striking on August 20, 2018. Since that day, we have taken to the streets 3 times to demand Climate Action, and we have mobilized more than 11 million people all around the world, mostly youth.

But our leaders are not listening. We have put Climate on the front on the media coverage and we have brought it at the very heart of politics.

But companies and businesses are keeping control on what’s being decided in the world. The COP25 opens on Monday in Madrid and we all know nothing will be decided.

So we are moving a step further in our fight for climate

And today, we’re Blocking the Black Friday

Everywhere on Earth, protesters and activists will be blocking shopping malls and other places related to over consumption

Because we have no other choice else than fighting as we can

We’ll make Black Friday Green

Thank you everybody,

Have a nice striking day

Clement
